Position Summary
We’re seeking a hands-on Lead Quality Inspector to oversee inspection activities and ensure all products meet customer specifications, engineering drawings, and AS9100 quality standards. This role combines precision inspection with leadership, process improvement, and collaboration across manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Perform and oversee first article, in-process, and final inspections.
- Inspect precision machined components using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, CMMs, optical comparators, and other measuring equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and customer specifications.
- Identify and resolve quality issues before products ship.
- Lead daily inspection priorities and help train and mentor inspection personnel.
- Support audits, customer visits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work closely with machinists, programmers, and production teams to maintain high quality standards.
Qualifications
- Experience inspecting precision machined parts in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T.
- Proficiency with precision measuring equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- AS9100 or ISO quality system experience is a plus.
