We are seeking an Assistant Property Manager to cover a leave of absence for our 200 unit affordable housing building in Buffalo.
Affordable housing experience and ability to start within 2 weeks is necessary.
This position is paying $25/hour with a schedule of 8am – 5pm Mon-Fri.
The ideal candidate will assist with leasing, resident relations, rent collection, compliance, and administrative functions while ensuring excellent customer service and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with day-to-day property operations and resident services
- Support leasing activities, move-ins, and move-outs
- Process applications, certifications, and recertifications in accordance with HUD/LIHTC guidelines
- Maintain resident files and ensure compliance documentation is accurate and complete
- Assist with rent collection, delinquency follow-up, and reporting
- Respond to resident inquiries and help resolve concerns professionally
- Coordinate with maintenance staff to ensure timely completion of work orders
- Maintain property records and prepare reports as needed
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of property management experience, preferably in affordable housing
- Knowledge of HUD, Section 8, and/or LIHTC programs preferred
- Strong organizational and customer service skills
- Experience with Yardi, OneSite, or similar property management software is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
