Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor Ion Vapor Deposition (IVD) coating equipment to apply aluminum coatings to aerospace components.
- Prepare metallic and composite parts for coating through cleaning, masking, fixturing, and inspection.
- Load and unload parts into vacuum coating chambers while following established process procedures.
- Monitor process parameters and make adjustments to ensure coating quality and consistency.
- Inspect coated parts for proper coverage, adhesion, thickness, and overall quality.
- Maintain accurate production records, process documentation, and inspection reports.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and report any equipment issues or process deviations.
- Follow all company safety procedures, quality standards, and aerospace industry regulations.
- Handle military and commercial aerospace components with care to prevent damage or contamination.
- Collaborate with quality, engineering, and production teams to meet customer requirements and production schedules.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous manufacturing, coating, aerospace, or vacuum processing experience preferred.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions, technical drawings, and process specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate specialized production equipment.
- Basic computer skills for production documentation and data entry.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
