RESPONSIBILITES

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for leading the daily operations of the warehouse while actively participating in shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material handling activities. This position supervises a small team of warehouse employees and works closely with Production, Customer Service, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Quality to ensure inventory accuracy, timely shipments, and exceptional customer service. The successful candidate will lead by example, promote continuous improvement, and maintain a safe, organized, and efficient warehouse operation.
 

  • Lead the daily operations of the warehouse by actively participating in shipping, receiving, inventory control, inventory accuracy, and material movement while ensuring customer orders are processed safely, accurately, and on time.
  • Lead, coach, train, develop, and evaluate warehouse employees by providing timely feedback, addressing performance concerns, and promoting accountability within a positive, team-oriented work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with all company safety policies, ISO quality procedures, work instructions, and regulatory requirements.
  • Plan, prioritize, and assign daily work to ensure customer orders are processed accurately and shipped on time.
  • Prepare and complete customer orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule, including loading, packing, wrapping, labeling, and shipping as needed.
  • Ensure customer-specific packaging, labeling, documentation, and shipping requirements are met.
  • Receive, inspect, unload, label, store, and process incoming materials and warehouse stock.
  • Coordinate domestic and international shipments with UPS, FedEx, LTL carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other transportation providers to ensure timely, accurate, and cost-effective movement of materials and customer orders.
  • Communicate with customers, carriers, and internal departments regarding shipment status, freight issues, scheduling, and delivery concerns.
  • Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts, physical inventories, inventory transactions, and routine audits while investigating and resolving discrepancies.
  • Ensure products are properly identified, labeled, stored, and relocated within the warehouse.
  • Monitor warehouse performance, identify opportunities to improve productivity, inventory accuracy, quality, safety, and customer service, and lead continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and shipping documentation utilizing the company’s ERP system and shipping software.
  • Maintain warehouse equipment and ensure employees operate equipment safely and in accordance with company policies.
  • Ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements, including labeling, packaging, documentation, and shipping specifications.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse while optimizing storage space and workflow.
  • Partner with Customer Service, Purchasing, Production, Quality, and other departments to resolve inventory, shipping, quality, and customer service issues.
  • Assist with interviewing, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance management of warehouse personnel.
  • Perform warehouse duties and other responsibilities as required to support business and customer needs.

REQUIREMENTS
 

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3+ years of warehouse, shipping/receiving, or distribution experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with inventory control, cycle counting, and maintaining inventory accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Excel with the ability to learn additional software applications as required.
  • Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively coach, develop, motivate, and hold employees accountable while maintaining positive working relationships.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with employees, customers, vendors, and transportation providers.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and communicate safety rules, operating instructions, quality procedures, and work instructions.
  • Basic mathematical skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and work with fractions and decimals.
  • Forklift certification or the ability to become certified.

Preferred:

  • Associate’s degree or additional education in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Previous experience leading or supervising employees in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience using ERP systems, shipping software, and coordinating domestic and international shipments.
  • Experience supporting or leading Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or 5S initiatives.
