RESPONSIBILITIES
The Procurement Manager is responsible for leading strategic sourcing, supplier management, and procurement operations to ensure cost-effective, timely, and quality-driven supply of goods and services. This role plays a critical part in optimizing the supply chain, managing supplier relationships, and supporting business growth through strong commercial and operational execution.
Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers to build a competitive and resilient supply base.
- Lead negotiations on pricing, contracts, and commercial terms to achieve cost savings and value creation.
- Establish and manage Global Framework Agreements (GFAs) and long-term supplier contracts.
- Monitor supplier performance (cost, quality, delivery) and drive continuous improvement.
Procurement Operations
- Oversee end-to-end procurement activities including RFQs, bid evaluations, purchase orders, and contract administration.
- Manage bid tabulations and techno-commercial evaluations to support project and operational requirements.
- Ensure timely procurement aligned with project schedules and production needs.
- Maintain accurate procurement data and documentation within ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
Financial & Cost Management
- Drive cost optimization initiatives and track procurement savings.
- Manage procurement budgets and support CAPEX planning.
- Partner with Finance on working capital optimization, and compliance with purchasing policies.
Supply Chain & Logistics Coordination
- Collaborate with logistics teams to optimize transportation, warehousing, and delivery schedules.
- Reduce total landed cost through efficient sourcing and logistics strategies.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks and disruptions.
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards.
- Develop and enforce procurement procedures, SOPs, and best practices.
- Ensure vendor compliance with contractual, insurance, and regulatory requirements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Project teams to align procurement with business needs.
- Support engineering changes by evaluating cost and schedule impacts on materials.
- Provide procurement insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
- Proven experience in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier management.
- Experience managing Global Framework Agreements (GFAs) or similar long-term contracts.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
- Exposure to international sourcing and global supply chains is highly desirable.
- Industry experience in EPC, Water, Oil and Gas sector is a plus.
- Experience working on jobs involving Installation and Erection, able to estimate the cost related to construction and fabrication of water treatment packages.
