Certified Medical Assistant

Hours:

  • Monday – Friday 7:00a – 3:30p

Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently room adult patients and accurately document vitals, chief complaints, and histories within Epic EMR
  • Reconcile medications, allergies, and preventative care gaps for patients managing complex internal medicine conditions like diabetes, hypertension, and COPD
  • Administer scheduled adult immunizations, therapeutic injections, perform EKGs, and assist providers with minor outpatient medical procedures
  • Perform and document routine in-office lab tests, including urinalysis, blood glucose monitoring, rapid strep/flu, and A1C screenings
  • Arrive for the 7:00am shift to participate in morning huddles, review provider schedules, prep charts, and stock/sanitize exam rooms before 7:45am patient arrivals
  • Manage the HER in-basket, answer patient phone inquiries, relay lab results under provider direction, and process prescription refills

Qualifications:

  • Medical assisting experience (2+ years)
  • Outpatient or internal medicine experience
  • Medical Assistant Diploma
  • National Medical Assistant Certification
  • CPR Certification

Compensation:

  • $25/hr

You will be entitled to health insurance once employed for 60 days and you must work 30 hours per week, on average, per month to enroll and maintain health insurance through Complete Staffing Solutions.
