Manufacturing Cost Estimator

A growing precision manufacturing organization is seeking a high-level Manufacturing Cost Estimator to support complex RFQ activity across multiple manufacturing facilities.
This position will play a critical role partnering with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, and Finance to drive accurate, timely, and strategic cost estimates for sophisticated manufacturing projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead all phases of manufacturing cost estimating and quote development
• Analyze blueprints, CAD drawings, and technical documentation
• Develop detailed manufacturing process flows and routings
• Coordinate with suppliers/vendors on materials, outside processing, and purchased components
• Partner internally with Engineering, Operations, Tooling, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to determine cycle times, setup requirements, tooling, equipment, and capacity needs
• Support RFQ prioritization and quote review meetings
• Quote PPAP, validation, tooling, fixture, and NRE activities
• Drive continuous improvement of estimating procedures and costing accuracy
Qualifications:
• 10+ years of manufacturing experience
• Strong background in manufacturing cost estimating
• Experience with processes such as CNC machining, Swiss machining, laser cutting/welding, stamping, grinding, Wire EDM, molding, automation, and assembly
• Blueprint reading and GD&T proficiency required
• Strong technical, analytical, and organizational skills
• Medical device manufacturing experience highly preferred
• Familiarity with PPAP, IQ/OQ/PQ, PFMEA, GR&R, MSA, and Control Plans preferred
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience
