Tax Manager
Well-established CPA firm is looking to expand our Tax Department. We are currently seeking a Tax Manager with 6+ years of experience in public accounting. The ideal candidate will be a CPA or CPA candidate.
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Review of tax returns with accuracy and technical compliance for business, individuals and trusts
- Manage multiple engagements
- Recognize and research tax issues
- Work closely with Partners, Managers and Senior Tax Managers, and staff on client management
- Provide internal training, coaching and support
- Supervise and review work of intern through supervisor level team members
- Develop and maintain client relationships
- Provide high quality client service
- Other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting or MST
- Thorough knowledge of tax accounting principles and professional standards
- CPA (or actively working toward passing the Uniform Certified Public Accountant Examination)
- 6+ years of experience in public accounting
- Ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple engagements
- Strong interpersonal skills fostering client and staff relationships
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong technical skills pertaining to tax preparation, review and tax compliance
- Experience with QuickBooks and Ultratax Software a plus
