Seeking a detail-oriented and organized Manufacturing Planner/Scheduler to join our team. This position is central to our operations, responsible for creating and managing manufacturing schedules that optimize resource utilization while ensuring on-time delivery (OTD) to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Use existing scheduling methodology to create and modify manufacturing plans, timelines, resource usage, and utilization to ensure on-time delivery across the organization
  • Regularly modify manufacturing plans to reflect changes in customer demand and requirements
  • Escalate concerns about on-time delivery performance and resource utilization to enable timely adjustments to staffing levels or customer deliveries
  • Create material pull requests and track their status to ensure all required inputs for manufacturing plans are resolved on time
  • Interface daily with the manufacturing manager to ensure adequacy and appropriateness of the manufacturing plan
  • Maintain status and accuracy of manufacturing plans and associated data systems
  • Generate and issue manufacturing travelers using our ERP system
  • Interface with inside sales to maintain accurate lead times and communicate schedule impacts
  • Maintain accuracy of work-in-progress (WIP) and finished goods inventory
  • Review open sales orders to determine customer requirements and communicate any schedule impacts proactively
  • Coordinate with purchasing and production staff to adjust schedules in response to supply chain changes or production challenges
  • Maintain data relevant to production scheduling activities, including planning calendars, material data, and location data

Required Qualifications

  • Manufacturing experience from a job-shop background or other technical, high-mix manufacturing environment
  • Experience with manufacturing scheduling and familiarity with scheduling methodologies
  • Comfortable and proficient with ERP systems
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong problem-solving aptitude and ability to identify and address potential bottlenecks
  • Excellent communication, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and make well-formed, rational decisions
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • ISO 9001 quality management system experience
  • Supplier management and vendor relationship experience
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, including GD&T
