Accounting Supervisor/Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accounting Manager to lead all financial and accounting operations. This mid-level leadership role will serve as the primary finance professional, responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and strategic financial insight to support business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Accounting Operations

  • Manage all aspects of the accounting function, including general ledger, job cost accounting, revenue recognition, accounts payable/receivable, and intercompany transactions
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP
  • Produce and analyze monthly cash flow reports

Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis

  • Lead the annual budgeting process and long-term financial forecasting in collaboration with operational teams
  • Monitor financial performance against budget and forecasts; perform variance analysis and provide actionable insights
  • Support capital planning, cash flow modeling, and scenario analysis related to growth initiatives, including acquisitions and project development

Internal Controls, Compliance & Process Improvement

  • Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy
  • Oversee cost accounting methodologies
  • Identify and drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and scalability

Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting and finance team members
  • Partner with operations to align financial strategies with business objectives
  • Provide financial insights, reporting, and decision support to senior leadership

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • CPA certification (active or inactive) preferred
  • 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within construction or land development
  • Strong expertise in job cost accounting
  • Proficiency with ERP systems
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
  • Strategic mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment while managing multiple priorities
