Manufacturing AP/AR Clerk
Location: Cheshire, CT (On-site)
Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday–Friday
Hourly Rate:  $25-28/hour

Position Summary
The AP/AR Clerk is responsible for managing the full-cycle accounts payable and receivable functions for a manufacturing facility. This role ensures timely vendor payments and efficient customer collections in a fast-paced environment. Accuracy in 3-way matching, inventory invoice processing, and,,, account reconciliation is crucial. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Accounts Payable (AP): Perform high-volume, 3-way matching of purchase orders (PO), receipts, and invoices.
  • AP Processing: Code and enter invoices, process weekly check runs, ACH, and wire transfers.
  • Accounts Receivable (AR): Generate and send invoices to customers, process incoming payments (lockbox, ACH, checks), and reconcile daily cash receipts.
  • Collections: Manage AR aging reports, follow up on outstanding balances, and maintain positive customer relationships.
  • Discrepancy Resolution: Research and resolve vendor statement mismatches and customer short payments.
  • Month-End Support: Assist with month-end closing, including accruals and reconciliations.
  • System Maintenance: Update vendor/customer files, W-9s, and maintain digital or physical filing systems. 
     

Requirements

  • Experience: 2-5 years of full-cycle AP/AR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Software Proficiency: Strong knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Traverse) and MS Excel.
  • Skills: High attention to detail, strong data entry speed, and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Education: High school diploma required; Associate’s degree in Accounting/Finance preferred.
