Accountant
Location: Ellington, CT (On-site)
Salary: $75,000–$78,000
Reports To: Controller
Team: Accounting team of 4
A well-established company in Ellington, CT is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations. This is a hands-on role with a strong focus on Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and general ledger activity, reporting directly to the Controller.
Responsibilities

Process high-volume Accounts Payable transactions

Manage vendor invoices, approvals, reconciliations, and discrepancies

Prepare and execute weekly check runs and electronic payments

Handle Accounts Receivable, including invoicing, cash applications, and aging

Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments

Assist with month-end close and account reconciliations

Support payroll processing via ADP

Work within the company’s ERP system

Collaborate with the accounting team and assist with audits and ad hoc projects
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field

3+ years of accounting experience with strong A/P and A/R exposure

Experience with check runs, journal entries, and reconciliations

ADP payroll experience preferred
-
ERP system experience required (manufacturing environment a plus)

Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a team-oriented environment
