ASSISTANT CONTROLLER
NORTH HAVEN, CT
COMPENSATION: 120,000-130,000 (ALSO A COMPANY BONUS)
KEYS- Must have manufacturing experience and cost accounting experience
We have an exceptional opportunity for an Assistant Controller to join our professional team. Career opportunities to learn and grow in our collegial, team atmosphere. This is a full time, in person position.
The Assistant Controller, reporting to Controller, will assist in financial and risk management operations, maintain accounting controls, and provide accurate financial information to management and stakeholders to facilitate decision making.
JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Assist in managing all accounting operations and preparation of monthly financials and year-end closing.
2. Develop business practices to maintain quality of financial transactions.
3. Participate in contract negotiations.
4. Work with independent accountants and provide support for the annual audit.
5. Contribute to company goals and preparation of capital budgets and budget projections.
6. Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to improve efficiency and profitability.

EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS
1. B.S. in Accounting and/or 10+ years of relevant Management Accounting experience in a Manufacturing environment. CPA preferred .
2. Proficient in Sage 100 or similar accounting software, and Microsoft Office software
