Pharmacy Buyer Job Summary Under the direct supervision of the Director of Pharmacy Services, the Pharmacy Buyer assists in procuring medications and pharmaceutical supplies for use within the Hospital. Using modern, inventory control principles, the Buyer purchases, receives, distributes and maintains accurate and appropriate inventory levels. The Buyer also manages purchases within budget constraints, assists in the preparation of competitive bids and contractual agreements resulting in positive financial impact on the Hospital’s supply budget, and prepares and reviews purchase orders for Department Director approval for payment by the Accounts Payable Department Minimum Qualifications Education High school diploma or equivalent required.
