Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
Ensures excellent customer service. Performs Massage Therapy in a professional manner in accordance with the Wellness Center Massage policy and standards set forth by the Mississippi State Board of Massage Therapy.

JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Provide various types of massage to clients.
  • Ensure timely start and completion of appointments.
  • Provide demonstration massage to attract clients and demonstrate skills to promote massage in the Wellness Center and at client and community events.
  • Have a working knowledge of services offered and products sold in spa.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly massage room.
  • Maintain and assist in conducting monthly inventory of supplies, products, and equipment.
  • Have knowledge of, and practice proper safety and sanitation skills.
  • Ability to be flexible and accommodating as it relates to Wellness Center hours, work schedules and scheduling appointments for clients.
  • Collaborate with fellow spa and fitness professionals to create a seamless and memorable spa experience for clients that encompasses holistic and personalized care.
  • Stay informed about the latest massage techniques and wellness trends to continuously enhance skills.



    QUALIFICATIONS


    Education
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent . Required

    Licenses and Certifications
  • CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation
  • CMST - Certified Massage Therapist
  • First Aid Certification

  • Proven communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in customer service Required          N/A
  • Excellent leadership skills are mandatory
  • Ensure safe high quality spa service session in a timely and efficient manner
  • A role model and representative of the Wellness Center at all times.
  • Individual will have close physical contact with clients and it is imperative that he/she have the ability to interact in a caring, professional manner
  • Provides the first impression of the Wellness Center and must convey a high level of professionalism, service and care to clients.
