The Integrative Health Practitioner specializes in knowledge and clinical expertise in integrating mind-body therapies forpatients who have had mild to moderate traumatic brain injury (TBI) and associated physical and psychological healthconditions such as post-traumatic stress, depression, and anxiety. The primary responsibility of this position focuses ondirect patient care providing a multifaceted approach to complementary alternative therapies targeting holistic wellbeing.Provides evidence-based support and care and education to patients and families. Additionally, it serves as a resourceand educator to other health professionals, students, and the community by using integrative medicine as the approach toachieve health and healing. Works autonomously and collaboratively as an integral member of the treatment team. Evaluates interventions as neededto achieve optimal patient outcomes. Provides clinical support to achieve the organization's mission of excellent patientcare. Responsibilities:
Job Requirement:
Develop individualized somatic movement protocols and mindfulness modules that align with each patient's diagnosis,treatment goals, and sensory tolerance, integrating evidence-based techniques such as body scan meditation, gentlemovement sequencing, and breath aware grounding. Provide high-quality individual, family, and group sessions in areas such as self-awareness, mindfulness, yoga, resiliencytraining, somatic movement, meditation, tai chi, qi gong, imagery, biofeedback. Co creates treatment plans with physicians, therapists, and other professions, incorporating movement and mindfulnessas complementary strategies to reduce pain, anxiety, or depressive symptoms, and to enhance body awareness andself-regulation. Manage complex and high-acuity cases utilizing ethical decision-making. Promote patient autonomy and shared decision making within a patient and family-centered care model. Serve as an internal resource on somatic safety, contraindications for specific movement patterns, and contraindications for certain mindfulness practices, ensuring all team members understand best practice boundaries. Champion continuous quality improvement through data collection, outcome tracking, and participation in interdisciplinary reviews, contributing insights that refine the team's integrated model. Collaborates with physicians, behavioral health therapists, rehabilitation therapist, nursing, customer service andadministrative staff. Maintain compliance with regulatory standards, organizational policies, and documentation best practices. Qualifications:
Qualification:
Experience Requirements: Minimum of two (2) years' experience providing integrative services to individuals in an institutional/healthcare setting. Minimum of one (1) year experience as an integrative services practitioner treating patients with mild to moderate TBI and patients with PTS. Demonstrated experience in coordinating and implementing holistic health programs. 2 years - Training in Integrative Health.
Education:
Bachelor's degree Integrative medicine, or a directly related field from an accredited institution - required Travel: Up to 30% Additional Duties: Additional duties as assigned may vary.
