Job Description
WSI Southwest, Inc., is a family-oriented small business based in Cliff, NM. We provide electrical support to commercial, residential, and industrial customers. We are seeking an experienced Lead Electrical Estimator to join our dynamic team!
*Electrical Estimator – Commercial Construction*
Currently seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to independently manage complex commercial projects. The ideal candidate has a proven track record handling multi-site jobs from takeoff to bid submission with minimal oversight and is ready to hit the ground running.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Analyze electrical plans, specifications to produce accurate quantity takeoffs and comprehensive cost estimates.
* Identify design alternatives, value engineering opportunities, and constructability solutions.
* Prepare and manage bid proposals, including reviewing subcontractor and supplier quotes, documenting assumptions, and ensuring compliance with company and client standards.
* Provide independent support on projects with change order pricing, budget updates, and technical cost analysis.
* Coordinate with project teams to ensure estimates align with operational and risk management requirements.
*Qualifications & Skills*
* Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator in commercial construction.
* Strong understanding of electrical systems, installation methods, and applicable codes.
* Proficient with Accubid or equivalent estimating software.
* Ability to read and interpret complex drawings and make independent decisions.
* Self-motivated with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Comfortable managing large-scale, multi-site projects independently.
*Experience*
* Electrical field: 5 years (Required)
* Electrical estimating: 3 year (Required)
*Working Conditions*
* On- and off-site across multiple project locations.
* Fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
*Compensation*
* $70,000 – $90,000 per year, based on experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $32.00 - $38.00 per year
