PHYSICIAN RECRUITMENT GENERALIST

Job Description

Overview:

The Physician Recruiter is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to attract, recruit, and retain top physician and advanced practice provider talent. This role requires proactive relationship-building, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will leverage their healthcare recruitment and sourcing experience to create and execute recruitment plans that align with Riversides strategic goals. 

 

Essential Duties

  • Recruitment Strategy Development: Develop and maintain a pipeline of potential physician and advanced practice provider candidates through creative initiatives such as career fairs, conferences, targeted outreach activities, and online sourcing.
  • Relationship Building: Establish and nurture relationships with residency and fellowship programs through lectures/conferences, direct mail, emails, and phone calls to build a strong future candidate pool.
  • Direct Outreach: Engage in direct outreach activities, including targeted cold calling, email blasts, and text message campaigns, to communicate Riversides opportunities and values.
  • Marketing Collaboration: Collaborate with marketing and graphic design professionals to develop professional recruitment materials, maintain recruitment platforms, and build a robust social media presence targeting physicians and advanced practice providers.
  • Leveraging Professional Networks: Leverage existing physician relationships to become champions of Riversides recruitment initiatives within their professional networks.
  • Data Collection and Analysis: Assist with data collection, benchmarking, and analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment strategies and support continuous improvement of the recruitment process.
  • Community Engagement: Represent Riverside at community events, physician job fairs, and other educational opportunities to increase visibility and attract high-quality candidates.
  • Onboarding Support: Participate in the onboarding process, ensuring new providers have the resources and support needed to transition successfully into their roles. Conduct stay conversations and onboarding/exit surveys as needed to develop and address recruitment and retention plans.
  • Database Management: Maintain a comprehensive relationship and contact management database, documenting relationship histories and details of interactions with potential candidates using ATS and other sourcing sites and resources. 

 

Non-essential Duties

  • Visa Recruitment Coordination: Coordinate with legal counsel and immigration firms as needed to recruit candidates requiring a Visa.
Responsibilities:

Required Experience

  • 5 years of experience in physician or healthcare recruitment.
  • Strong knowledge of physician recruitment best practices, healthcare trends, and credentialing requirements.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement successful recruitment strategies.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and networking skills.
  • Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed to facilitate physician recruitment activities when needed (less than 10%).
  • Proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and relationship management tools.

Required Licensure/Education

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field

Preferred Education

  • Masters degree preferred.
  • Certification in AAAPR Physician/Provider Recruitment (CPRP) is preferred but not required.

  • Hearing: Needed for telephone communication, meetings, alarms and listening to employee, applicant and interviewee concerns.
  • Touch: Needed to write, computer entry, filing.
