Required License/Registration/Certification None Physical Requirements This position requires regularly preforming tasks with repetitive motions; occasionally standing or walking with objects weighing up to 25 pounds; and lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects weighing up to or over 50 pounds. Regular job-related travel is also required (>50% of time). Shift Primarily Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; as an exempt-level position, additional outside hours may be required in order to meet job and departmental business needs. Job Summary The Value Based Programs Manager will work with the Managing Director and executive leadership to manage and guide successful program participation and quality reporting for value-based programs, including the Medicaid Directed Payment Program, Quality Payment Program, commercial insurer value-based programs and alternative payment models. This position will lead a team of advisors in assisting practices and/or health systems in developing and implementing strategic plans for process improvement, clinical innovation and quality improvement related to alternative payment models, quality and value-based care programs (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid and commercial insurer value based programs; MIPS, ACO, and Bundled Payment initiatives, etc.) This position will develop and maintain tools to facilitate and support clients; and ensure timely and consistent communication to stakeholders on progress, impacts, and changes associated with management of a program portfolio. The Manager will develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, and provide facilitation, consultation and program management to support and coordinate activities of staff and contractors in fulfilling practice improvement and transformation obligations related to grants, contracts and program requirements. This position will also develop staff through effective leadership, coaching, mentoring, and counseling of direct reports; and foster communication through regular staff meetings or teams huddles; and assist managing director to continuously update KY REC strategic plan.
This is a hybrid remote position. Skills / Knowledge / Abilities The ideal candidate must demonstrate knowledge of complex concepts relating to transformation, improvement and innovation; have experience working in health care; have knowledge of project management processes; possess excellent administrative and staff management skills; have the ability to lead and direct others toward goal setting and attainment, taking into account divergent demands while managing scope and timelines; be well organized; have exceptional communication skills (written & verbal); enjoy working independently as well as closely with their co-workers in a supportive team environment; outstanding computer skills (to include Microsoft Office and SharePoint); excellent customer service skills; active listening skills; and a strong ability to be visionary, engage and motivate others. Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? Yes Preferred Education/Experience Master’s degree; clinical background (RN, NP, PA); or clinic administrative management preferred; previous experience with program management, healthcare quality improvement, medical home transformation, and/or value-based payment programs highly preferred.
