Porter (Maintenance Support) – Senior Living Community
Morton, IL
$18–$20/hour
Full-Time or Part-Time | Monday–Friday
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Porter to join a 100-unit senior living community in Morton, IL. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents. Experience in senior living or nursing home settings is highly preferred.
Schedule:
- Monday–Friday
- Full-time: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Part-time options available (8:00 AM – 12:00 PM or 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM, or similar flexibility)
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness of grounds, parking areas, and building exterior
- Empty trash receptacles throughout the property (interior and exterior)
- Move dumpsters out and back in daily
- Clean and stock common restrooms (including mopping floors, sanitizing toilets and sinks)
- Vacuum hallways and community spaces
- Sweep and mop entryways
- Clean and sanitize shared areas such as the kitchen, sunroom, fitness center, and laundry room
- Maintain trash chutes and chute rooms
- Complete minor maintenance tasks (e.g., unclogging toilets, replacing basic toilet components)
- Assist with unit turnovers, including light painting, trash removal, and cleaning
- Support special projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in porter, janitorial, maintenance, or similar role preferred
- Experience in senior living or healthcare environments is a plus
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
