Summary of the Position
Are you a strategic finance leader with a strong background in workforce financial planning and compensation analysis? We are seeking an Interim Senior Manager, FP&A – Global Compensation Planning (6-Month Contract) to provide leadership and continuity during a critical period.
In this role, you will lead compensation planning, forecasting, and reporting across the organization, while partnering closely with HR, Total Rewards, and Finance leadership. This position is ideal for a hands-on leader who can quickly step in, drive execution, and provide strategic insights in a fast-paced, global environment.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Leadership & Business Partnership

  • Serve as the interim global lead for compensation forecasting and personnel expense planning, including salaries, bonuses, benefits, and other workforce-related costs.
  • Partner with HR, Total Rewards, and regional finance teams to align workforce strategies with financial goals.
  • Lead key planning cycles, including Budget, Forecasts, LRP (Long-Range Planning), and Monthly Close/Variance reporting.

Reporting, Forecasting & Analysis

  • Oversee and enhance financial models to track and forecast global compensation and headcount.
  • Provide monthly and quarterly reporting on actuals vs. forecast, including variance analysis and insights.
  • Deliver executive-level dashboards and reporting with clear, actionable commentary.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Provide interim leadership and direction to a team of analysts supporting compensation and workforce finance.
  • Drive accountability, prioritize workstreams, and ensure timely delivery of key outputs.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to maintain alignment and data consistency across teams.

Process Optimization & Execution

  • Identify and implement improvements to reporting and planning processes, leveraging tools such as Excel and Power BI.
  • Support ongoing system and process enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Confidential Data Handling & Compliance

  • Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive employee compensation data.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and company policies.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience: 8–12 years of experience in FP&A, with a strong focus on compensation finance, headcount planning, or workforce strategy.
  • Industry: Experience in global or matrixed environments preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills required; experience with Power BI, HRIS (e.g., Workday), and ERP systems (e.g., Oracle) strongly preferred.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to step into leadership roles quickly, manage teams, and drive results in a short-term, high-impact capacity.
  • Analytical & Communication Skills: Strong business acumen with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights for senior stakeholders.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment and quickly ramping to deliver impact.
