POSITION SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Senior Accounting Associate – Cash & Treasury Operations is responsible for overseeing the Company’s cash accounting function, supporting a large portfolio of banks, bank accounts, and legal entities with high transaction volumes and complex cash structures. This role owns daily and period‑end accounting for domestic and foreign cash, restricted cash, escrow arrangements, and related reporting, while ensuring accuracy, strong controls, and audit readiness in a public‑company environment.

The successful candidate will be detail‑oriented, highly organized, and excited to leverage AI, Hyperion, BI, and other financial systems to modernize and scale cash processes.
Key Responsibilities
Cash Accounting & Operations
- Own day‑to‑day and period‑end accounting for a large portfolio of bank accounts, legal entities, and currencies, including high‑volume transactional activity.
- Prepare and review daily, monthly, and quarterly cash reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of reconciling items.
- Account for and monitor restricted cash, escrow balances, and foreign cash, ensuring proper classification, disclosure support, and documentation.
- Partner closely with Treasury to support cash movements, funding activity, and banking structure changes.
Reporting & Analytics
- Produce dynamic cash reporting to support management, Treasury, and Accounting leadership, including balance visibility, restrictions, and liquidity analytics.
- Support internal and external financial reporting requirements related to cash and cash equivalents.
- Assist with preparation of supporting schedules for financial statements, footnotes, and audit requests.
Controls & Audit Support
- Execute and maintain SOX‑compliant controls over cash and related processes.
- Prepare audit‑quality documentation and serve as a key contributor during internal and external audits.
- Proactively identify control gaps and recommend enhancements.
Process Improvement & Technology Enablement
- Identify opportunities to automate cash reconciliations, reporting, and controls using the Company’s IT and analytics portfolio.
- Actively leverage AI tools, Hyperion, BI platforms, ERP systems, and advanced Excel to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
- Partner with Accounting, Treasury, and IT to implement process improvements and system enhancements.
Close & Cross‑Functional Support
- Support month‑end and quarter‑end close processes related to cash and treasury accounting.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with Treasury, FP&A, Tax, and Legal as needed to support cash‑related initiatives and transactions.
Qualifications:
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 3–6+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a public company or public accounting environment.
- Strong understanding of cash accounting, bank reconciliations, and internal controls.
- Proven ability to manage high transaction volumes with a high degree of accuracy.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capability.
Preferred
- CPA preferred (or active CPA candidate).
- Experience supporting public company audits.
- Exposure to treasury accounting, restricted cash, foreign currency, or escrow arrangements.
- Experience in complex, multi‑entity environments.
Office Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Prolonged periods working at a desk in front of a computer.
