Job Description

Hiring for a Patient Services (Medical Call Center) Rep for a clinic in Chestnut Hill, MA.

No parking available – must be comfortable with public transit or taking a shuttle from Boston main location to Chestnut Hill. 

Pay: $26/hour

Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00AM – 4:30PM
 

Requirements: 

  • 1+ year of medical call center representative experience
  • Experience with Epic is highly preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a super used for scheduling, registration, and billing systems
  • Schedule and rescheduling patient appointments in accordance with established guidelines
  • Answer and triage incoming telephone calls
  • Conducts appointment confirmation calls
  • May perform more complex or specialized functions (such as surgical scheduling) at highest competency level
  • Utilize knowledge of HMOs, managed care, and other third-party insurers, and troubleshoot insurance issues as appropriate
  • Obtain new patient information
  • Assist with obtaining appropriate referral information
  • Provide cross coverage for the front desk as needed – greet patients, check-in/check-out, payment collection
  • Follow HIPAA guidelines
  • Other administrative duties as assigned
