Salary: $110,000 – $150,000 annually based on experience
A pediatric specialty hospital in the Boston area is seeking a Nurse Manager of Clinical Care Coordination to oversee care coordination services within an inpatient medical unit. This role combines administrative leadership with limited direct patient care responsibilities, allowing the manager to remain clinically connected while guiding program operations and team development.
The Nurse Manager will lead daily care coordination activities, supervise staff, and collaborate closely with clinical leadership to ensure seamless admissions, effective care transitions, and high-quality outcomes for medically complex pediatric patients.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of the Clinical Care Coordination program
Supervise and mentor Care Coordinators and related staff
Partner with nursing leadership and medical teams to support multidisciplinary care planning
Maintain a small caseload of patients to support clinical care coordination
Monitor program performance, utilization review, and quality improvement initiatives
Support admissions coordination and patient flow
Assist with budget planning, forecasting, and census management
Ensure accurate and timely documentation and utilization review processes
Escalate insurance or authorization concerns when appropriate
Qualifications
Registered Nurse (RN) required
Minimum 5 years of nursing experience
Leadership or management experience strongly preferred
Pediatric experience and complex care coordination experience strongly preferred
Background in case management or care coordination
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and provide performance feedback
Excellent organizational, analytical, and documentation skills
Experience working within multidisciplinary care teams
