LICENSED CLINICAL SUPERVISOR

Job Description

PROGRAM

We have an opening for a Clinical Supervisor position. This person may be assigned to work at one program, or supervise clinicians across multiple programs based on needs. Some remote work is possible but this is primarily an in-person position located in El Cajon. Must be able to travel to various locations in East County to check in with clinical staff at their work sites.

POSITION

The Clinical Supervisor will assist the Program Manager in training and overseeing the clinical work of a team of therapists. The Clinical Supervisor monitors and audits clinical records and ensures excellent quality mental health services and documentation. An example of tasks include:

Provide supervision, education, and training and oversees the work product of staff as assigned by their supervisor.
Provides weekly supervision, individual and group, to the unlicensed therapists in accordance with BBSE requirements and completes mandatory supervision logs (when appropriate).
Leads Treatment Team meetings, participates in case file reviews.
Ensure that Assessments, Client Plans, and all Progress Notes are completed in accordance with all district, county, state and federal standards and reflect quality care.
Ensures program guidelines are being followed.
Act as a lead in the Program Manager’s absence.
Responds to clinical emergencies and provides guidance and direction to the team in successfully resolving crisis situations.
Assists in the professional development of staff working towards licensure. Sets goals and benchmarks for staff to attain licensed status.
Ensure that the staff provides clinically sound, short term, goal oriented therapeutic interventions to all clients and families and that those services are adapted to the culture and strengths of the client and family.
Assist therapists in developing transition plans and moving clients and families toward successful termination of services.
Ensure that all unusual occurrences, critical incidents, and patient, staff, and stakeholder complaints are thoroughly investigated, documented, and responded to, according to Vista Hill and district policy, and applicable ethical and legal requirements.
Ensure that therapists are informed of all procedural requirements.
Ensures that the program is successfully meeting all contract objectives.
Develop and implement a plan to address any areas needing improvement.
Provide routine audit of all medical records ensuring that records comply with all known documentation standards and procedural requirements.

REQUIREMENTS

Masters degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or human behavior.
State license for Clinical Social Work (LCSW), Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT), Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Psychologist.
Must be able to supervise and sign off on hours for Associate-level clinicians.
Eligible candidates must be independently licensed for two years or more with their state board.
Experience working with children, youth and families from a variety of cultural backgrounds.
Must have knowledge of the cultural issues that can impact mental health treatment.
Must be able to pass a drug and background check, and TB test.
Must have CA driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel to various locations.

HOURS

Full-time, 40 hours per week. Monday - Friday

PAY

$40.00 per hour

This is a starting rate and may be adjusted up based on education and experience.

BENEFITS

Employees working over 30 hours a week receive employer-paid benefits, including medical, dental, vision, paid time off (vacation and sick leave), paid holidays, employer-paid retirement contribution and clinical supervision (if applicable). Some programs qualify for student loan forgiveness programs.

Employees who work less than 30 hours a week do not qualify for healthcare benefits.
