Radiology Technician
Temp to hire 

Pay rate: $45-56/hour 
Hours: part time, Tuesday and Thursday, 8am-3pm 
Location: Gaithersburg, MD 
Specialty: Orthopedics Surgery and Sports Medicine 

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Current ARRT certification required.
  • Active MD state radiologic technologist license.
  • Experience in orthopedic imaging preferred

Job Responsibilities:

Imaging Duties:

  • Perform diagnostic orthopedic X-rays as ordered by the provider.
  • Ensure proper patient positioning and image quality for accurate interpretation.
  • Follow radiation safety protocols and maintain compliance with all regulatory standards.
  • Verify orders and patient identification prior to imaging.
  • Work in partnership with the physician and MA to support clinic workflow and patient care.
  • Communicate effectively regarding stat reads, additional views, or clarification of orders.
  • Assist with room turnover and patient flow as needed.

Imaging Retrieval & Records Support Duties:

  • Retrieve prior imaging studies from outside facilities using CRISP and other available imaging portal or by phone
  • Upload and attach outside imaging to patient charts for physician review.
  • Coordinate with outside facilities when additional documentation is needed.
  • Patient Support
  • Provide patients with copies of their X-rays (disc or electronic format) upon request.
  • Educate patients on imaging procedures and answer general questions within scope of practice.
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety during imaging procedures.
