Job Description

Hours 8am-4:30pm fully in office

Pay based on experience $45-$60k 

Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and bid documents for indoor gymnasium projects.
  • Perform detailed quantity take-offs for equipment such as basketball systems, volleyball systems, divider curtains, batting cages, wall padding, and custom athletic equipment.
  • Develop cost estimates for materials, equipment, freight, and related project expenses.
  • Coordinate with engineering and product specialists to ensure proposals meet technical and structural requirements.
  • Communicate with vendors and subcontractors for pricing and scope clarification.
  • Maintain estimating records, pricing templates, historical cost data, and documentation.
  • Support sales teams during pre?bid and post?bid discussions as needed.

Requirments

  • Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications.
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem?solving skills.
  • Proficiency with estimating software, Microsoft Excel, and PDF markup tools (such as Bluebeam).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple bids and meet deadlines with high accuracy.

Preferred

  • 1-3 years of construction estimating experience, preferably in architectural specialties or commercial construction.
  • Knowledge of commercial construction practices and technical detailing.
  • Degree in Construction Management or related field.
