Licensed Practical Nurse
Type: Temp-to-perm
Location: Kinston, NC 28501
Schedule: M-F, 8am-5pm
Interview: Onsite or Virtual
Pay: $25-$32/hour dependent on experience
We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide high-quality clinical support in a team-based outpatient setting. This role focuses on patient-centered care, supporting providers, and contributing to safe, efficient workflows that improve health outcomes for a diverse community.
Job Responsibilities:
- Uphold and promote the organization’s mission, vision, and values.
- Protect patient privacy and comply with HIPAA and OSHA regulations.
- Participate in care team huddles and support care for new or complex patients.
- Gather medical histories, reconcile medications, and prepare patients for provider visits.
- Deliver patient education and follow-up care within LPN scope of practice.
- Collect and process specimens; sterilize equipment and ensure proper disposal of supplies.
- Assist with Medicare Annual Wellness Exams and complete required screenings.
- Manage patient calls, complete documentation, and support provider workflow efficiency.
- Engage patients and families in care planning and connect them to community resources.
- Respond to patient emergencies and maintain current BLS/CPR certification.
- Participate in quality improvement, compliance activities, and ongoing professional development.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.

- Proven ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Solid clinical nursing skills within LPN scope of practice.
- Working knowledge of medical terminology and human anatomy.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Education: Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program.
Certifications & Licenses: Valid, unrestricted North Carolina Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
Experience: 2-5 years of nursing experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in an FQHC or similar environment, preferred.
