Pharmacist Coordinator

Job Description

Overview: Develop and implement policies and programs for high risk/cost medications, to optimize safety, efficacy, regulatory compliance, report metrics and provide education to healthcare providers. To participate in the quality initiatives, performance improvement, accreditation readiness, academic programs, clinical research, and interdisciplinary activities. Serve as a liaison among the multiple disciplines, collaborating with providers, nurses, ancillary services, quality, accreditation, legal/compliance and executive leadership team members to promote optimal therapeutics and patient care. Qualifications: Required Education: Pharm D. degree (Doctor of Pharmacy). Specific course work: Doctorate of Pharmac Preferred Education Pharm.D , PGY1 residency training and PGY2 in area of specialt Necessary Skills 1. Attention to detail and ability to distinguish drug products 2. Fine motor coordination and manual dexterity. 3. Computer skills and accuracy in calculations. 4. Excellent communication and customer service skills. 5. Supervision of technician employees Required Licensure/Certifications Registered Pharmacist in the state of Florida OR eligible for Pharmacist license in the State of Florida within 90 days of the date of hire/transfe Preferred Licensure/Certifications N/ Required Experience Less than one year pharmacist/intern experienc Preferred Experience specific practice area Supervision Supervisory responsibility: Yes; Supervisory responsibility of 3-18 employee Age of Patients Served All Age Group
