As a Portfolio Manager, you protect the integrity of our loan portfolio while supporting small businesses and community impact. This is where your analytical mind, leadership skills, and compliance expertise come to life.
HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT IN THIS ROLE?
You will oversee the ongoing servicing and health of our loan portfolio, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all processes. Your leadership will guide a team responsible for loan processing, documentation, closing tasks, monitoring, and servicing.
In this role, you will:
Lead loan servicing staff, including collections, ensuring high-quality work and strong internal controls.
Monitor portfolio performance, update risk ratings, and manage problem loans and workouts.
Oversee loan modifications, liquidations, collateral documentation, and compliance with Prestamos Credit Policy.
Analyze and optimize internal systems to mitigate risk and strengthen processes.
Prepare and present portfolio reports to senior management, Loan Committee, and external auditors.
Conduct quarterly allowance assessments and contribute to board reports.
Direct due diligence, portfolio reviews, and risk mitigation strategies.
Manage loan loss reconciliation in collaboration with Accounting.
Generate and lead monthly Portfolio Quality Reviews with senior leadership.
Maintain strong working relationships with BDOs, credit analysts, auditors, and internal departments.
Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory updates.
Your work ensures our loans not only meet compliance standards - but continue to help entrepreneurs grow.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
Education & Background
Bachelor’s degree in finance, management, business administration, or related field OR equivalent experience.
2–5 years of experience in loan servicing, risk management, escrow processing, small business lending, collateral valuation, or portfolio management.
Minimum of 2 years of management/supervisory experience.
Strong understanding of collections procedures, Fair Debt Collection practices, and reporting guidelines.
Working knowledge of SBA lending programs and NMTC preferred.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and Word.
Experience with Outlook and loan portfolio management systems.
