Job Overview

Malas Development is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Junior Accountant to support our financial operations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, familiar with accounting processes, and has a strong understanding of construction and property management software. This on-site role offers the opportunity to work directly with leadership, gain exposure to high-level projects, and play a crucial part in the daily financial activities of a growing, fast-paced company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process accounts payable and receivable for construction and development projects.

  • Track job costs, invoices, and expenses across multiple projects.

  • Assist with general ledger entries and journal postings.

  • Reconcile bank statements and company credit cards.

  • Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams on financial inquiries.

  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities.

  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.

  • Assist leadership with reporting and ad hoc financial analysis

Qualifications

  • 25+ years of accounting experience, ideally in construction, development, or property management.

  • Working knowledge of QuickBooks, with exposure to Procore and/or Rent Manager.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.

  • Motivated, accountable, and eager to grow within a development-focused organization
