The primary duties consist of, but are not limited to, the following:
Supervise employees who perform maintenance and install equipment used in thermal processing applications.
Monitor, reinforce, and oversee health, safety, and environmental (EHS) performance of the department and employees.
Resolve chronic or acute equipment issues.
Identify, select, assign, and supervise contract personnel who perform specialized maintenance work or supplement department work.
Monitor progress of employees in skills training and identify/assign training as required.
Direct the scheduling of daily and monthly routine, equipment calibration, and preventive maintenance activities; coordinate with operations on scheduling shutdown equipment.
Utilize computerized maintenance management software (CMMS) for work order management, documenting equipment information, and managing preventive maintenance requirements.
Create, edit, or revise less complex engineering drawings using computer-aided engineering software.
Supervise warehouse shipping and receiving personnel; ensure spare parts inventory is available and managed properly.
Work closely with equipment vendors and suppliers on identifying/ordering specialty equipment or parts; review vendor/supplier performance objectively.
Evaluate and provide performance feedback both informally and through formal performance management systems.
Manage capital projects, including initiating Capital Asset Requests, purchasing requests for CapEx items, and supervising installations and project milestones.
Maintain fiscal budget responsibility through organized purchase order management and competitive supplier bidding.
Assess facility conditions and initiate repairs/maintenance activities.
Maintain argon and nitrogen gas inventories and delivery paperwork.
Prepare month-end reporting and update facility maintenance and Environmental Management System KPIs.
Report for work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with co-workers, understand and follow rules/procedures, and accept constructive criticism.
Handle confidential compensation information appropriately, without disclosing pay of employees/applicants.

Four-year college degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related discipline preferred.
Five (5) years supervisory experience.
Ten (10) years cumulative maintenance experience in an industrial environment.
Deep and thorough knowledge of industrial manufacturing systems and heavy-duty piping and plumbing.
Experience with cooling water systems and water treatment.
Experience with cryogenics and high-pressure gas systems.
Basic electrical troubleshooting skills.
Basic hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
Computer proficiency.
Must be able to work in a sitting/standing position for extended periods in an industrial environment.
Manual dexterity to perform data entry functions.
Ability to bend, pull, stoop, and reach.
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
Exposure to heat, cold, noise, dust, humidity, fumes, argon and nitrogen gas lines/valve panels (high pressure), and chemical solvents.
May be required to work overtime or any shift, including weekends.
Must have the cognitive and mental capacity to perform essential job functions.
Must be self-directed and capable of multi-tasking.
Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Visual acuity to read documents, computer screens, and files.
Ability to hear in person and via phone.
