The Council on Aging of St. Lucie, Inc. (COASL) is the designated lead agency for senior services in St. Lucie County and contracts with the Florida Department of Elder Affairs through the Treasure Coast Area Agency on Aging to provide comprehensive services to older adults. Founded in 1973, COASL has proudly served the community for over 50 years and today provides services to more than 25,000 seniors annually.
With an annual operating budget exceeding $6 million, COASL administers a coordinated system of home- and community-based services including case management, in-home services, Meals on Wheels, congregate dining, adult day care, transportation services, outreach and consumer services, and homecare programs. The agency employs over 44 full- and part-time employees and is supported by dedicated volunteers.
