Overview:
The Clinical Pharmacist Informatics Program Administrator is responsible for selection, implementation, and adoption of clinical technology to support optimal clinical effectiveness and efficiency. Working in conjunction with other information technology (IT) staff, the clinical pharmacy informaticist is responsible for documenting, building, testing, and implementing new and existing functionality within the electronic medical record (EMR). This individual should be able to translate user requests and utilize their knowledge of clinical workflows, evidence-based practices, regulatory requirements, departmental policies and procedures to design and optimize build within the EMR. The clinical pharmacy informaticist is responsible for providing clinical input for IT projects including collection of data as well as gathering input from clinical leaders and frontline staff.
