ICU/Med.Surg. Director DUTIES: Responsible for assessing, planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating all nursing, administrative and related technical activities to ensure care of all patients in Medical Surgical and ICU services. Is responsible for ensuring all departmental activities are in compliance with standards established by Joint Commission, hospital bylaws, departmental regulations, institutional policies and procedures and Standards of Nursing Practice for patient care. Responsibilities also include performance improvement activities, human resource management, fiscal management, supply and equipment management, department specific staff development and education, customer service focus as well as developing and cultivating partnership with all members of the healthcare team including providers.
