Cytology Aide JOB SUMMARY Processes Gynecologic and Non-gynecologic specimens, maintains instruments, and completes documentation for the distribution of slides to Cytotechnologists. Serves as a liaison to physician offices, by ensuring that they have adequate supplies for collection. DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Overall performance rating of below indicated essential job duties: Receives and accessions all gynecologic and non-gynecologic specimens upon receipt in the department. Performs collection of all pertinent information needed for testing, and enters that data into the appropriate computer programs.
