Pharmacy Technician II GENERAL SUMMARY The Pharmacy Technician II works under the direct supervision of the pharmacist as stated by the Virginia Board of Pharmacy and reports to the Pharmacy Operations Supervisor. Pharmacy Purchasing Coordinator GENERAL SUMMARY The Pharmacy Purchasing Coordinator reports to the department leadership under the direction of the Pharmacy Support Manager. The Pharmacy Purchasing Coordinator’s core responsibility is the purchasing of all pharmaceuticals within the hospital to maintain appropriate inventory levels while ensuring 340B and GPO contract compliance. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Processes all purchase orders for pharmaceuticals for both the pharmacy department and health system. Codes invoices for purchase accounting for the Accounts Payable department. Audits drug pricing, contract changes, and inventory levels to maximize institutional savings.
