Overview: The BMET 2, with minimal supervisions, maintains maintains clinical equipment through the effective use of the Medical Equipment Management Plan. Performs a variety of tasks associated with the installation, maintenance, calibration and repair of biomedical equipment . Responsible for performing preventive, predictive and repair maintenance and other scheduled services on Biomedical and related equipment. Perform repairs and other technical activities with minimum supervision. Requires good oral and written communication and customer service skills. Maintains equipment inventory records and parts. The BMET 2 can teach basic skills to BMET level one technicians and can mentor others in basic skills. BMET Comprehensive understanding of common clinical terminology as well as that of life sciences such as anatomy and physiology.
