Basic Purpose:
Assists the pharmacist in any necessary tasks to provide clinical and distributive pharmaceutical services to all patients.
Principle Responsibilities:
Effectively assist in managing the medication distribution system
Maintaining a professional environment
Record maintenance
Technicians must assist pharmacist with duties that maintain nursing unit integrity.
Assists with adequate inventory levels
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
High school graduate or GED
Licensure:
Must be eligible for registration with the MS State Board of Pharmacy and pass the national Pharmacy Technician certification exam after one year of full-time employment.
