Overview: Assists the Director of Pharmacy in ensuring that the pharmacy provides superior services, exceeds all legal, accreditation and certification requirements, and follows all applicable policies, procedures, codes and standards of the hospital for the storage and preparation of pharmaceuticals. Ensures that patient care remains uninterrupted 24 hours per day/7 days per week. Responsible for management of pharmacy staff including scheduling and performance evaluation and improvement. Oversees and monitors all daily unit dose operations and all daily IV room and OR/ICU Satellite activities.
