Overview: The Clinical Services Technician collects specimens on all age populations as assigned with minimal patient impact. Responsible for the processing and allocation of laboratory specimens and orders from all sources. Responsible for verification of proper patient and specimen identification, appropriateness of specimen and accompanying orders. Organizes laboratory work flow and appropriately prioritizes processing and distribution of specimens. Overview: The Pharmacy Technician II performs specialized functions necessary to assist pharmacists in providing safe, efficient, friendly and cost-effective pharmacotherapy services. Specialized functions/areas include, but are not limited to the following: sterile compounding, controlled substance oversight, pediatrics, medication history, patient assistance, inventory control, medstation maintenance, unit inspection, packaging and bedside discharge service.
