Summary: Under general supervision, manages the operational aspects of the police department.  Work involves planning and managing assigned operations, services programs and staff; identifying operational needs, allocating resources, developing and implementing policies and procedures; and assessing programs and services to two divisions of law enforcement officers and staff. Work is performed for the purpose of public peace, protecting lives, property and rights of the public, and enforcing statutory law and municipal ordinances.
