Overview: The Security Officer III is responsible for implementing the departments' Patrol and Response strategy. Ensure proactivepatrols, exceptional customer service and a willingness to serve. Responsible for helping to maintain a safe and secureoperation of the healthcare campus including high-stress areas such as the ER, Maternal Child, Behavioral Center andothers. Be familiar with and be able to rotate through all hospital zones. The SO3 has the ability to be armed with adepartment-issued firearm and/or other defensive measures approved by the department. Not all SO3’s will be armed butmaintain the ability to be under hospital administrative direction. Responsibilities: Exterior - Patrols campus for purposes of detection and deterrence.
