All Pharmacists must be licensed by the State Board of Pharmacy in which they are practicing and must be renewed and kept active in accordance with state pharmacy law. A pharmacist interprets and evaluates prescription orders; compounds, dispenses and labels drugs and devices as indicated on a prescription; maintains proper and safe storage of drugs and devices, and offers or performs services, operations, or transactions necessary in conducting, operating, managing, and controlling a pharmacy. It is the pharmacist's legal responsibility to oversee the actions of all auxiliary personnel used to assist the pharmacist in any of their duties. The pharmacist must comply with all applicable state and federal laws governing the practice of pharmacy and the safe distribution of drugs. This position is a safety sensitive position.
