Key Responsibilities: Patient Outreach & Support: Call patients to assist with Medicaid applications and enrollment. Work closely with the Department of Human Services (DHS) to gather required documentation. Assist patients with charity care applications and provide guidance through the financial assistance process. Onsite Patient Engagement: Visit Emergency Department (ED) and inpatient rooms to speak with uninsured patients. Discuss Medicaid options and, if ineligible, establish payment plans prior to patient discharge. Census & Follow-Up: Review the previous day’s census to identify self-pay patients.
