School Certifying Official The School Certifying Official (SCO) is responsible for administering Veteran Education Benefits (VEB), including all activities required to maintain institutional approval and ensure compliance with Title 38, U.S. Code. Advises and assists students in navigating the use of their Veteran Education Benefits (VEB), certifies student enrollment statuses to the Department of Veterans Affairs, and communicates with students, other University teams, and the Veterans Affairs. SCOs provide exceptional customer service and quality responses to eligible veterans, civilians, military students, and family members applying for and receiving VEB.
