About this Job: General Summary of Position The Senior Director of Nursing Research assumes a leadership role in setting the MedStar Health system nursing vision and strategy for research and scientific inquiry. The Senior Director provides expertise and operational leadership for nursing research evidence-based practice (EBP) and outcomes evaluation for key nursing programs. The Senior Director builds systemwide research capacity accelerates clinical nurse-led inquiry and research activities that support Magnet recognition and nursing excellence in alignment with system nursing strategic plan and priority goals. The System Director of Nursing Research fosters a systemwide culture of inquiry mentors clinical nurses in the conduct of research ensures compliance with related regulatory standards and integrates EBP into nursing practice to improve patient care outcomes.
