Overview: Facilitates the patient's access into the Radiology system by providing registration and check-in services, including but not limited to the following: securing accurate The Joint Commission-approved patient demographics, identification, authorization of services and insurance information for registration purposes for all scheduled and non-scheduled patients; securing completed and signed written radiology orders, entering and scheduling orders into EPIC, verifying demographic and financial data and electronic filing of documents into OnBase. Ensures that basic ICD-9 coding is relevant to the signs and symptoms for the diagnosis reflected on the request for service. Follows Federal Regulations to ensure Legal Compliance is maintained.
