Overview: This position serves to facilitate efficient and frictionless access, query, interaction, and data entry of a physician to the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and affiliated/associated patient data repositories including patient imaging and linked technologies. Much as EHRs have evolved to provide far greater reach than a handwritten note, scribe functionality is expected to function outside that of a "human typewriter." The goal of the scribe is to facilitate access to the all patient care data resources available to the physician and as such will be empowered to provide this functionality to the extent appropriate for the specialty using the scribe, which will be outlined by the Department Chair, Divisional Lead, and submitted to UFHP for awareness.
