Associate Attorney

$60,000 yearly

Job Description

Forget the “Big Law” grind. We’re a specialized firm in Central Wisconsin focusing on Social Security Disability, Worker’s Compensation, and Elder Law—meaning our work has a real impact on people navigating some of the most challenging moments of their lives.

We’re looking for an Associate to join our growing team—ideally with a background in Workers’ Comp, but we’re more interested in your drive than your years on paper. We don't believe in gatekeeping; we’re here to train the next generation of leaders and future partners. Whether you’re a recent grad or looking for a change, if you’re eager to actually practice law in a supportive, collaborative space, we want to help you build a long-term career here.

*Why You’ll Want to Build Your Career Here*

*Open Access to Experience*

We believe in developing attorneys, not gatekeeping knowledge. You’ll receive hands‑on mentorship in client management, witness examination, negotiations, and litigation strategy.

*A Pathway to Leadership*

We’re not hiring someone to fill a seat. We’re looking for the right person to grow with us—someone who sees the value in long‑term partnership and wants to help shape the future of the firm.

*Meaningful Advocacy*

You’ll represent clients who truly need a strong voice, both in administrative hearings and in federal court. Your work will matter every single day.

*What You’ll Bring*

*   Wisconsin Law License (or on track to obtain one soon)
*   Strong Writing Skills with the ability to craft compelling, persuasive briefs
*   Empathy and the ability to connect with clients from all backgrounds
*   Intellectual Curiosity and a willingness to learn in a team‑oriented setting
*   Bonus: Experience in Workers’ Compensation or Social Security Law (not required—we’ll train the right person)

*Compensation & Benefits*

*   Competitive Salary, negotiable based on experience and aptitude
*   Paid Holiday, Sick, and Vacation Time
*   Dental, Vision, Life, and Long‑Term Disability Insurance
*   401(k) Retirement Plan
*   Health Coverage Support: While we don’t offer a direct health plan, we’ll help you navigate the Marketplace to find the best option for your needs

*Ready to Apply?*

Skip the formalities. Send us your resume, a writing sample, and a cover letter that tells us who you are—not just where you went to law school.
